Have your say:
China Green
Since being elected I have been made aware of concerns by members of the electorate towards the development of China Green at the former Australian Fine China factory and the redevelopment of the former Station Street College (TAFE) site in Subiaco.
Every week concerns by the electorate are conveyed to me throughout the local media and with meetings I hold with various stake holders.
Because of this I have passed on these feelings to the Minister to make sure he is aware of the impact on residents and I will continue to engage with the Council, the SRA, St Joseph’s Church and the Ministers office throughout the development stage to hopefully reach a suitable outcome.
I aim to continue to address issues such as Building Heights and Proximity, Intensity and Density, Noise Control, Pedestrian Safety and Heritage Compatibility as these are the types of issues that will be dealt with by new and existing residents on a day to day basis.
The recent Liberal-National 2009 Western Australian State Budget saw allocation the of $16m for the ongoing development of the Australian Fine China and $4.1m for the ongoing development of the old Station Street College site.
While I am not directly involved in the final decision I believe it is important that during the process, I continue to represent members of my electorate with any concerns they may have. If you’d like to give me your views on the matter please write to me and let me know:
